Two audiences pay for different things.
If you make an app
Listing is free. There’s no charge to define what you sell, or to be in the directory. SubtleAds takes 5% + $0.50 from each campaign booked through it. Stripe’s own processing fees apply on top, and payouts go straight to your connected Stripe account. You set your own prices — SubtleAds never sets or bids them.
If you’re advertising
You pay the app’s price for the campaign you book, and nothing else. Your card is authorised when you book and captured only once the creative is approved. If it’s rejected, nothing is charged. Each app sets its own minimum budget per campaign type, so the floor depends on what you’re booking.
A worked example
A $200.00, two-week flight at today’s standard rate
| Advertiser pays | $200.00 |
| SubtleAds fee (5% + $0.50) | −$10.50 |
| Stripe processing (2.9% + $0.30) | −$6.10 |
| App receives | $183.40 |
Questions

- What happens if my creative is rejected?
- Nothing is charged. The authorisation is released.
- Who decides what’s allowed?
- The app does. SubtleAds enforces a content floor underneath that everyone has to clear.
- When do I get paid out?
- On Stripe’s own payout schedule for your connected account.
- Do I need to change my prices to be listed?
- No.
